I have been feeding my fish (Bluegills mostly) Purina Aquamax Sportfish MVP and have had good results. I became aware of the Purina Sportfish Largemouth which is a large (1 inch) pellet that can be hand thrown to larger pellet trained sport fish like 12 inch Largemouth Bass. I was intrigued with this idea and contacted Purina to order this product. Unfortunately, Purina stopped offering this product as, apparently, they were not selling enough of it.
However, I was made aware that Optimal has a product called Optimal Hand Throw Feed which is a one inch pellet. I ordered a bag of this product and a bag of their Optimal Bluegill feed. I have used Optimal Bluegill previously with great results. Has anyone on this forum used the Optimal Hand Throw? I would be interested in any feedback on this product. Thanks.
Willy Wonka , last year I did buy a bag of Optimal hand throw , 100 percent loved everything about it , delivered right to my office door , the feed trained bass loved it , catfish loved it , never any issues , they reminded me in size of a milk dud candy , throwing this i knew my bass and catfish were getting a good meal and it left the bluegill to clean up my MVP sport fish , April of 23 I stocked 100 6" pellet trained bass ( 16 months ago ) and over the weekend had a couple of these fish just a little over 3 pounds and 1 was right at 4 pounds, I cant say or think of anything negative , that's my 2 cents worth
