RAH, it has been 6 years, do you still see LCS? The ones you moved in your1/2 acre pond did they reproduce?

My stocker LCS did well but we didn't have right conditions for spawn (need lots of grassy style vegetation and high quality clear water) so they grew old and died. Would love to convince one of the local fish farms to try to create conditions that would allow them to reproduce.

Ron Crismon is not far from me and has amazing water conditions that allow prolific growth of bait fish, YP, and incredible SMB spawning and growth. Ron if we could get LCS started in one or more of your forage ponds it would be a very exciting experiment both for new forage for your hungry SMB and to see if you can get them to self-propagate over time.

I do not know if the LCS are still there, but they definately spawned since far more than I stocked washed out the overflow pipe. I added a water control box and fish stopped washing out the tube. The SMB in the pond continue to get bigger. Also do not know if they established in the 1/2 acre pond that I added some to. I recently added 10 CC and 10 crappie to this pond. I still have a lot of fry, but am not sure if they are just FHM?
