The more weeds present going into ice and snow cover the greater the chance of oxygen shortage and fish kill. Weed number 2 does look like one of the narrow leaf pondweeds. Camera was moving too fast and did not pause to get a good close look at the detailed weed characteristics.
Do you know what the minnows were with the horizonal stripes? Were they your dace?
