Sunfish (3 species) and largemouth visit me at the dock daily. Sometimes y. perch will swim by but crappie nor w. perch have been seen since they were introduced. One thing I'm worried about is a huge snappling turtle I saw for the first time a week ago, It must have crawled miles from a nearby water. I heard they eat fish and would hate to see my 2 lb bass and nice size sunfish a part of its diet.

I wouldn’t sweat the turtle. They are part of natures clean up crew.

Lusk said it best. Anytime a turtle catches a fish, the fish deserved it.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

I went fishing at a farm pond in my late teens and came back to half eaten LMB that were on a stringer. Found them when I returned from lunch that was up in the truck. I would agree on the it's the fishes fault as long as they have free reign in the water. Limit their ability to evade said turtle and I took the blame that day.
