Hi there, just joined the site today! Found you guys by searching for something and you guys popped up. Woohoo.
Hubs and I moved into a house 3 yrs ago this Sept and it is on a pond/lake that is about almost 7 acres. We live in OFallon, IL, across from St Louis, MO. There are many other families that live on the lake as well. It is in a subdivision and the lake is fed by pretty much just run off lol. The pond was here when we moved in. Has been here about 30 yrs (according to the oldest person living on the lake). The lake has a lake committee/HOA and i just recently got assigned into the role of the President, when the other president moved out of the area. Yay me..... So all the houses that live on the lake, pay a fee every year so that the dam can be maintained (aka mowed), pay for the power for the 7 aerators (diffuser), and any other maintenance, and insurance and some other things.
Earlier this year, 2 other committee members went to a Pond Management seminar that some Southern IL folks put on, with the help of IDNR of course. IT was great. So much knowledge and such.
Anyway joining here because i want to post about a problem we are having and i have other questions. Meanwhile i'm searching this forum to see if perhaps what i've been through has been experienced by others and what we can do.
Thank you for welcoming me.

Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:" "She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."

I replied to your other post, but I would call Rex Rains and see how much he'd charge to do a nutrient reduction treatment for your pond. He lives close to you. Check your PM's, I will put his phone number there.
