Dumb question here, but maybe worth asking. I know hybrid bluegill revert back to green sunfish, when they do, are the green sunfish pellet trained or will eat pellets??? For those that have expereince with hybrid bluegill, whats your advice, and are you restocking? I believe I have enough predators to keep the green sunfish in check but I'm curious as to wether I should stock them in a 20 acre pond. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Clarification , the Fx generations may show more and more GSF characteristics , but they never revert back , they are always Hybrids. My experience is they continue to love pellets and the "Mutts" continue to be great fun for the kids to catch.

Good deal, will the grow big on the feed? How often do you restock?

I haven't needed to restock , have a good mix of GSF,BG, and HBG, too good , received mine by accident, Fish supplier included them in my RES order. 2 months ago I added SAE , hopefully knock down the varied SF population. Mine are supposed to be SMB, WE, YP ponds + Forage species. But I must admit , the GSF, and HBG Fx generations , keep the younger kids very happy , a fish every 2-5 minutes , prevents boredom while waiting for a 16"-20" SMB to smash their earthworm. Welcome to the Forum , don't be a stranger. Hope I've been a help.

Keep in mind your hybrids and their back breeding depression not only creates (the result of...) a fish that looks more like a GSF, you have a very similar situation with the BG species as well, which can-and does- go in cycles. You will have fish that take on characteristics of both.
