Is aluminum sulfate the best replacement for rotenone since it's unavailable anymore?

Is aluminum sulfate the best replacement for rotenone since it's unavailable anymore? It's still listed on page 17 of the Boatcycle catalog - Henderson Texas.

I'm curious. The use of Alum Sulfate would alter the water chemistry of the pond by dropping the alkalinity/hardness as well as the PH. Does Rotenone alter water chemistry as well or just kills the fish?

Yes, but you have to buy a $1,900 barrel, and have an all states permit. https://www.boatcycle.com/catalog/p...neral-farm-chemicals/rotenone-5-solution

Does Rotenone alter water chemistry as well or just kills the fish? Rotenone kills fish not by removing oxygen from the water, but by inhibiting oxygen transfer and cellular respiration.
