I'm curious. The use of Alum Sulfate would alter the water chemistry of the pond by dropping the alkalinity/hardness as well as the PH. Does Rotenone alter water chemistry as well or just kills the fish? Rotenone kills fish not by removing oxygen from the water, but by inhibiting oxygen transfer and cellular respiration.
