That bass could be thin for more reasons than just a lack of proper sized forage.
It could have a plastic lure, or other obstruction in it's digestive path, or just be sick in general.
Also, I'm not saying that the fish does not have an injury, but to me, if that fish had some meat on it, I think the thoughts of injury would be far less.

Are all the bass you catch like this one? There's a pic earlier in the thread of someone in a red shirt holding a bass. It looks much healthier than the skinny one, is it from this pond?
cat, I think he said that LMB was from his pond. I agree. It looks pretty good.

There is one from tonight... I'm gonna remember to weigh and length next time... The one caught by the lady in the red shirt was on the real estate listing.. we have not personally caught one that big
A tree that large will float, and thus has the potential to float to different areas. Eventually, over a few years, it may sink, especially as it's branches decay.
You can also just anchor or tether it with a cinder block and some rope or bailing wire.
That last bass you posted definitely looks better than the previous one, however, it's still on the thin end.

If it was me, for free, I would take them little cedar trees and tie a concrete block to the base of it and toss it in the pond, about six to ten ft out or in about 3 to 4 ft of water, the tree at the edge of the water is just begging to be cut and tipped over into the pond, you can tether the base to the stump if you are worried about it floating off to a less desirable are or depth, but I have been known to cut them and let them fall in wherever they land. Not a professional but the bass do look a little undernourished, some cover will help your sunfish get a little more size to them and create a better food source for your bass. That being said, in the bible you can read about a feller feeding a whole congregation on just a couple of fish,, I have always wondered how big them fish were, Ive fed quite a few people on a couple of 80lb Blue cats out of the river. but those are pretty rare.
All the really good ideas I've ever had came to me while I was milking a cow.

My WAG is 92% Relative weight, still thin. I could be wrong and guess a little low.

Scott, the fish that the Lady In Red caught, or the most recent one the Preacher caught?
The most recent one would seem easily less than 90% WR, IMO.
