Wouldn't reducing the slope go the other direction (e.g 4:1). I am presuming when people day 3:1 they mean 3m horizontal, 1m vertical? Yes. Typing fast while thinking about all of the ways to accomplish your goals and making a math error is pretty bad. Glad you caught that I was NOT reducing the slope with those numbers!
