Forgot to mention that you may be able to throw some muck-reducing products in there. Aeration would help remove some organic sediment at a faster rate, but isn't always an option. Would one of the 5lb Pond Boss Blocks be a good idea? I've seen them mentioned before Frankly, I've never used any of the products like that, but I mentioned it as something for your consideration. Others may be able to share their experiences with it.
