Thanks again for all the info. It is amazing how much bad advice a guy can get locally.
My pond will basically be a pit pond supported by well water and some run off. It will be located right beside a run of creek with a shale bottom that runs a little water most of the time. I would like to put my dam between the edge of the trees ( about 100 ft from the creek ) and the pond with my overflow tube running into the creek. My question is will this tube alone be adequate for maintaing proper water level?
