Just purchased a bag of optimal sinking 42 percent sinking food. Had trouble getting my newly stocked CC to come to food.after they figured it out it was like a shark feeding frenzy. I had several areas with fa 8-12" thick I started hand throwing the sinking food out over those areas. After a few days of this I snorkeled the area and found the area completely free of fa

Very interesting.

I've noticed that sometimes FA sinks; is there a chance that happened in your case?

Along your line of thinking, years ago, we did a massive bullhead catch and eat effort. Most all of the bullheads caught had a lot of FA in their guts.

No the fa was about eight to twelve inches thick on the bottom by throwing the food out on top of it the CC would eat the fa while going after the food took it right down to a clean bottom. I don't know how much of the nutrients in the fa is consumed by the CC but it is definitely better than having it float up to the top

Neat!

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Thanks for the answer and clarification.

I just had an endoscopy/colonoscopy yesterday, so my mind is focused on fiber. Perhaps the CC are getting a dual benefit of fiber!!

The bullheads I mentioned, that had FA in their guts, were all healthy specimens.

There you go Sunil, you just have to start eating more FA.
