I'm with Bill on the No Fertilizing part. The water will be fine without it. Stock FHM asap, unfortunately you live in the republic of Michigan where you have to get the State's approval to stock any fish in your pond. You own it, they control it. The only way you can get around needing the state approval is if you do not have any inflow or outflow pipes in your pond, even if they outflow onto a grassy pasture.
