I had a similar situation to yours last year with a small pond I had built. A new house going up behind me dumped a good portion of the front yard into my pond, lots of muddy water till they were able to get some ground cover established.
You mentioned that you had a desilting pond dug upstream of your 2 acre pond. Just curious, how far upstream from the 2 acre pond is this located, what is the size of this pond and how did you arrive at the size to build it?
