I spent this weekend at my dad`s lake cottage on Pretty Lake in northern Indiana. The fishing in this lake has not been very good in many years, so we spend our time snorkeling. While doing this I noticed millions of zebra mussels everywhere. I also saw more large redears than you can imagine! I quickly purchased some worms and went fishing! My young neice and I really had fun with those fish! I know the lake is clearer than ever and at least one species of fish is thriving.I am sure the redear are eating these mussels because I saw them doing it. Can anyone tell me when it will be safe to put my boat back in my pond? I don`t think I want zebras in my lake.
