Hey, thanks guys. Life is still good in Freedom, IN. Family is well, I hope the same is true for everyone here. Brief rundown from B&B Farms: Maple syrup 2023....well, this year wasn't too great. It was too warm, for too long, way too soon. Worst season we've had since we started taking this whole maple thing seriously. SO, there are changes in the works for next season. Long story short, we can always dump excess sap.... let's try and make that happen from now on. HBG...still got 'em, but I don't pursue trophy status these days. I met my goals some years ago, so I've turned the heat down to just simmer on the ponds. I've removed the aeration, still treating vegetation issues, still hand feeding Optimal but only once a day. Not pushing the envelope, just happy with 1 lb + lepomids. Keeping it simple and relaxing. Have I mentioned we bought a sawmill a couple years ago? I don't remember. Anyway, we did, and we've been harvesting trees and milling our own lumber for projects here on the farm. I find it very satisfying, and when that F3 tornado went through a few weeks ago, it thoughtfully provided us with several bd/ft of material. So I've been busy. I remember this place not being real keen on unsanctioned links, but if you like, you can check out the mill on YouTube... just search B&B Farms Maple. The elevator gig? Yep, still running up and down hoistways. Amazing technology at work in a modern elevator. I'm so fortunate to be involved in this trade. I suppose that's about it, thanks again for thinking about me. Lots of good people here at PB, I wish you all the best!
"Forget pounds and ounces, I'm figuring displacement!"
If we accept that: MBG(+)FGSF(=)HBG(F1) And we surmise that: BG(>)HBG(F1) while GSF(<)HBG(F1) Would it hold true that: HBG(F1)(+)AM500(x)q.d.(=)1.5lbGRWT? PB answer: It depends.
