Wow Lmoore, tons of good info. Definitely lots of food for thought. I am surrounded by corn and beans. Our 62 ac is mostly wooded, but it’s far from the only timbered area around. Lots of woods nearby, along with thousands of row crop acres. With just 62 ac, I’m not holding but a few does. Maybe a buck or two, but almost all the nice bucks we’ve seen probably are just passing through.
I was just trying to keep as many around as we can. Especially since our small 9 ac soybean fields are converting to CRP.
