It is well known and proven that fish use chemical communication, and such is very common in fish. It has been shown in the suppression of reproduction in LMB where BG were overcrowded and shown in catch and release studies where fish stop feeding.

This report could be absolutely correct - but those YP can't grow without increased food. IMO this does not increase growth rate as that can only be done with more food. It could also have negative consequences much like trying to run an engine at too high of an RPM for too long. That approach has been seen in HSB and carbs and in fatty livers in LMB.

They are probably not releasing much info due to economic (patent) reasons.
