161% Relative Weight
Caught this fat BGxRES yesterday on half a worm. 9 3/4 inches long, weighed 1 lb 2 5/8 oz. Using some interpolation from ewest's Relative Weight Table (splitting the difference between 9.5" and 10", and averaging the figures for BG and RES) I get 160.6%. For comparison, my relative weight is around 140%.

Sadly, no. My photographer was sitting in the UTV on shore.

Theo Doing really good growing those hybrid redears - aka specklebelly sunfish. From a distance it looked like a female. How much red or light orangeish is on their ear flaps? Any?

This one had no orange/red on the opercules at all, IIRC. (F1's always have it, in the Fx's it is of course quite varied.)

Theo - Are your fish still eating pellets in 54-55F water?? They are still eating, but I haven't measured the water temp for a while. The last time you posted yours and I checked mine (maybe 2 weeks ago?), it was close to 10 degrees warmer than your water. I am guessing that it's currently closer to 60 than 55 - my Tilapia are still actively eating, although not at the surface anymore. I am feeding about 30% of the volume I do at the peak of warm weather. The interesting thing is that the % of big fish showing up seems higher than when it is warm.

Yes fish learn to avoid negative stimuli. That is why I camouflaged my boat bottom and sides. It applies to what you wear as well - if you are that serious about catching fish don't wear bright colors when fishing.
