Did that tilapia hybridize in your pond, or are you able to purchase hybrids from your fish supplier?

Did that tilapia hybridize in your pond, or are you able to purchase hybrids from your fish supplier? This is what they refer to as a red Nile tilapia. It is my understanding it was developed by crossing with a Mozambique originally so they are not pure Niles. I ordered these from a supplier in Florida and had them shipped in as fry. They have poor survival compared to the normal colored tilapia. The birds really go after the pink/red ones.
