David - HABITAT aquatic herbicide, topically applied, has been a very effective control-measure for various lily species. It is very capable of providing excellent root control on treated lilies, unlike several alternative treatments. Plus, you may selectively target some areas while leaving others unaffected, if so desired. Be sure to tank-mix a quality surfactant (wetting agent) with the HABITAT treatment if you decide to try this option. KD
