A couple of options, Drain the pond and have them excavated. Expensive, time consuming, and may not solve the problem. Second, there are chemical options. Hopefully some of the experts will chime in, just be patient. Several replies may pop up overnight, as many don't have the chance to be on until the kids get off the computer!
