Well I put together my fish order, or at least something I believe is at least close to what I will be getting.

Unfortunately, money is an issue right now going into Spring. Just so much to do around the property and only so much money that can be squeezed out.

For instance, I had a big algae bloom occur, matting up on top and it was alarming. It only took a few days of sun and warm late winter temps for it to occur. We knocked it back with a jug of Cutrine algaecide, put a couple of jugs of dye in and then a hard cold rain hit a few days later and the pond has been spotless for almost a week now. Before it comes charging back, I need to get aeration set up which can be a big expense and I'll post about that in another forum.

Anyways, here's the fish order. Feel free to throw out some comments and constructive criticisms if you'd like. This is just a rough draft and can be tweaked. I've never stocked a pond with fingerlings before.

FHM - 6000 @ $45/1000 = $270.00

BG - (might be copper nose?) 700 @ 1-3" $45/100 = $310
and 200 @ 3-4" $95/100 = $190

LMB - 150 2-3" @ $150/100 = $225

CC - 100 6-8" @ $85/100 = $85

RS - 200 3-4" @ $95/100 = $190

Total Cost - $1270

Other expenses I can consider are:

Grass Carp - 8-11" $8/each
LMB - 3-5" $275/100
LMB - 5-7" $375/100
BG - 4-6" $150/100

I can also do different ratios or counts. The total I have above is probably close to the high mark that I can get right now with the wife due to the other Spring expenses we have going. I could maybe stretch it a little higher, who knows. I do see stocking the fish, aeration, and installing a new motor in my beastly tiller to be our most immediate needs in the next couple of weeks though. I am hoping I can get the fish and put them in the pond by mid April, preferably on Sat the 6th.
