hi, placing an order today for overton fisheries bluegill and golden shiners. pond is brand and filling. We have thought about stocking tiger bass fingerlings in june and then adult largemouth in the fall. Is this feasible? will the size gap be too much? If this is fine what numbers of fingerlings to adults should istok. Appreciate the help, thanks.

Discuss your plan with the people at Overton Fisheries and they will guide you in the right direction.

Yeah, Todd should be able to answer that. If not, send Lusk a message, he can pin point that.

Yep, get with Todd. They're closed today, but they can give you an answer when you're at the fish shed. Todd or Ethan may be on the road when you get there, so an email may be the best way to get a quicker response.

His CNBG are not only extremely healthy, but beautiful as well. I'm refreshing my pond with another 1,000 this year.

What you stock and when and sizes depends on your goals.

Bottom line is that the adult bass you stock will eat the smaller ones and everything else that is smaller.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Fish survive stocking better the closer they are to dormancy, which is why most fisheries only deliver Spring and Fall. You should give the BG and Minnows a full Summer to recruit and grow before adding Bass, IMO. Commercial fisheries tend to over-sell the quantities, so I prefer to refer to the State DNR for their stocking numbers. Numbers depend on the size of the pond, which I don't see in your post.
