So, not sure where to ask this question & figured I'd drop it here.

Wanting to build or buy a floating fish cage so that I can try to feed train the RES & get the rest of the sunfish acclimating while I try to ID 'em all & make sure I don't unknowingly stock any BG or GSF.

What size cage would y'all recommend? We're talking 100 sunfish, hopefully at least 3"-5", for no more than a few days & no more than 50 for a week or 2 while pellet training. Reel Texas Outdoors has a 3'x2'x2' that looks decent (& not too outrageous, given current materials prices), but not sure if it's big enough. Mesh size? 1/2"x1/2" or 1"x1/2"? 1/4"x1/4"? Any preference for galvanized vs. nylon netting?

Links to any DIY tutorial type things? Pretty sure I have the gist of it, but want to make sure I'm not over (or under) thinking things.

At roughly what size can you typically ID sunfish? I'd like to stock 4"-6"ers if I can get them, but if I can only get little 1"-3"ers, will they be big enough to positively ID?
