I would also like to state that I meant no disrespect to Captain Kangaroo (or Mr. Rogers, or even Bob the Builder), who was always my favorite children's show host when I was a kid. To this day, my family and I use snippets of the Captain's wisdom, from dropping a plethora of Ping-Pong balls on our adversaries to being "exhausted from the rigors of our last adventure." I merely meant that it was up to Meadowlark to decide whether he would rather be contrasted with the patient, compassionate Captain Kangaroo or the buff, macho Bob the Builder.
