I respectfully disagree. Although floating feed is good because we can watch the feeding response of our fish to determine any health problems, the really big fish producers prefer sinking feed because it is cheaper. If you purchase feed by the ton that really makes a difference.
I have also noticed my largemouth bass prefer sinking feed. (Maybe they're lazy?) However unless the water clearity is high and I can observe them inhale the pellets I prefer the floating.
