What's up with all these weird replies from new members with hardly any posts?

Anyway, we are about to get started with the house build. I still haven't done anything with the pond, but probably should do something soon. The pond is long and narrow. About 170' x 65'. Is there any way to rake the salvinia off the top? If I could clean out the salvinia then I could put off the pond renovation for a while since I dont have a lot of spare money at the moment.

Otherwise I will have to drain it and let it dry out for a considerable amount of time. What's the best way to drain? Trash pump or PVC siphon? Y'all help me out here please.
