I was fishing with a friend here in Minnesota for walleye. Things were getting real competitive to see who could land the most fish. My friend was way behind the rest of us but finally got a hit. He began reeling the thing in and it appeared to be a rather heavy fish. Everyone was all excited until we got it to the boat to find he had snagged the carcass of a 5 pound fish that we had filleted the day before and left in the water near shore for the turtles. We were a half mile away from where we left that carcass and we were the only ones on the lake. The joke now is that he catches fish that have already been cleaned and are missing the meat! He still swears that the thing was fighting.
Gotta get back to fishin!
