Was fishing on my pond and had put out a small basket for catching small brim. The rope for the basket came off of the float (Dr. Pepper bottle) and I lost the basket and rope. Got a weight and treble hook to cast into the spot and hang my basket. On the second cast, caught a two pound bass. On a casting weight!

Last year I was reeling in a one pound bass, when a about 3 pound bass came in and hit him! He let go but had I allowed slack in the line for the 3 pounder to swallow him, I would have probably caught them both.
