I was fishing a river called the Maumee River that flows into Lake Erie several years ago for walleyes. A friend (Willie) and I were casting leadhead jigs for them as as they came up the river from Lake Erie to spawn. I had to call it quits early due to a leak in my waders and the fact that the water was only 38 degrees!

To make a long story short Willie was well on his way to getting his limit when his landing net came loose of his waders and it fell into the river seemingly gone forever. Willie continued to fish and when he had on his last fish of his limit, it felt like it was considering larger than the male walleyes he had been getting. He asked the man next to him if he would mind if he would net if for him as this seemed like a really big one, and the fellow obliged. It turned out to be another walleye of the same size but it was entangled in a landing net -- my friends. Not a bad day. Get your limit of fish and get your landing net back. \:D

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.
