Since yesterday, I’ve gotten, according to a close neighbors weather station, 4.3 inches and still getting light stuff. Ponds were about 3+ ft low.

It’s 70 miles away and still getting light rain but I am dang sure heading there to see how much ponds have come up.

We've had a fairly dry Spring up here, but got a frog strangler last night.

Thunderstorms off and on all day today projected.

We got our first good rain as well. My wife is happy since the majority of vegetables are going in the ground soon.

The trickling wet weather creek behind the house came up 3 feet in just a couple hours yesterday evening and the pond went from full pool to well over the 15" drain pipe. We were not in a big need of the rain, but this might give one more round of morels!

Like usual, the majority of rain missed us and the gauge shows slightly more than 1/2".

Same here, they was saying almost 3" by today on Monday but everyday they lowered it and I ended up with about .57". I've had a few rains that helped some but I haven't had any big rains all year.

Just got back. Rained 4 inches and both ponds came up about 2+ feet.

Need about another foot for full pool but I’m not whining. First big rain in a long time.

We have gotten several rain showers. Our area is still wet from the last set. I wish some of you would have gotten more, we just don't need it right now.

Water is still running out the syphon pipe, has been for months. It is interesting to see what a few miles does.

The rain, although badly needed and 100% welcome, was poorly timed for me. Due to a weird algae bloom on both ponds I was starting spraying Cutrine Plus to kill it. Since you should only spray 1/2 the pond at a time, I had only sprayed 1/2 of the the 1/4 acre pond and was waiting for help from the grown Grandsons to go further I now have an unknown. What did the infusion of water do? I'll have to wait 3 or 4 days to retest after the water thoroughly mixes. Since alkilinity and ph come from the soils and not the sky, I doubt that it made much difference. The water is no longer pea green but I'll have to see what happens when I use the swimming pool test strips.

Why only spray 1/2 at a time? As the Cutrine attacks the algae, the water quality changes. Dying algae takes up O2 and the fish leave that area. In about a week or maybe not that long the water becomes safe again for fish and other organisms. Then I get to spray the other half and the fish again change locales.

This is the first time I've personally had this occur. I still have no idea why it happened.

We had our rain gauge inside due to snow and ice last week. But we got enough rain that my ponds were apx 10" and 12" above drain level last night 2 hours after the rain stopped. (They were full going into this.) The lowest level dock was still under water.
