James, around here we either make signs (old field disks work well or buy the signs from Atwoods, Farm & Fleet, Tractor Supply Company (TSC) or other such farm supply store. There are some made of aluminum or tin that are a little more sturdy than the plastic. Also, sometimes you can find a thicker plastic or even a backing to add to the sign to help make it more stiff.
