I am in the middle of building a 7-acre, 37-acre-feet (according to NRCS) pond in SW Oklahoma. The NRCS has designed a simple overflow spillway pipe, but I would very much like to install an overflow that drains from near the bottom as described in the Ray Scott video. It seems to make good sense, but I have been unable to find any plans or even descriptions. Can anyone give me a lead as to design, materials, costs, and experience with such a spillway?
