I think your Perch should be listed in the state record books - even if they have to add an asterisk.
Almost all wildlife growth has been influenced by human activity. Many record book Bucks were shot after they grew up eating field crops.
I would guess that many record book fish have been taken from lakes stocked with non-native forage. Many fingerlings introduced into lakes were raised on a diet of pellets.
I think the States should adopt some uniform trophy standards before someone grows out a new record book LMB.
