Eastland, I haven't tried threadfin. My bluegill have always been prolific enough to not worry about them. I'm going to put the tilapia in a one acre pond on a new place that I bought. I think I'm OK on forage there but will try to unnaturally boost bass size. I'm going to scatter crawdads and bullfrog eggs in 3 or 4 small watering holes that I have. Then will move them to other places as they reproduce.

Hew Rowly, last week it was in the eighties here. Early Spring can be pretty deceptive to us. We had a snowstorm this year which was one less than normal. I've only seen my creek iced over once in the last 20 years. However, I've seen it totally dry a lot of times. Last year was the wettest year on record. When it started raining, my one acre pond was 7 ft. low and a lot closer to 1/2 acre than one acre. That is why I'm narrow minded about fertilizing.
