I'm no expert, but if I had the resources and the property for 10 acres of water I would:
1. Have a 9 acre pond focused on producing quality lmb and bg.
2. A small one acre pond primarily for cats.
This would allow as much water as possible for lmb management without the competition or problems of cats. Cats are fun and easy to catch when managed in large #s in small ponds.
