In my 1/4 acre neighbor hood pond, we used to see large GSH (6-8") hitting feed.

Haven't seen them lately and I think it's because the other predator fish (LMB, SMB, HSB, CC, and maybe YP) got large enough to eat those larger GHS.

They hit the feed very differently than bluegill or bass, so they were pretty easy to identify.
