Noticed Duffie was the only was posting "covers". So here's my first submittal.

Took a suggestion from above to make the "Pond Boss" hold a shovel.

tritonvt,

The photo looks like a West Texas pond after filling for three years. \:D

LBuck, both pictures are from one of Otto's articles in a previous PB.

Dave, I hadn't thought of that and thought it would be fun to try. I laugh everytime I look at this picture.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

Is that a fish in the red hat? I always thought it was Bob.

Lusk I wish that you would hurry and pick a winner. This is getting pretty pitiful. Next we will see Cecil's record perch in a red hat, driving a dozer, dragging hogzilla, while holding a shovel in one fin and a fishing rod in the other.

Hey Lusk, since you are lurking "in the wings" these days - I repeat Bruce's comment of "So who won this dang thing, anyway?"

I ask, Bob, how soon is the new book going to be available. Were there delays at the printers?

Bill, quit poking fun at Bob, he is too busy for "that" book, he's upstate in NY raking in the big bucks \:\) I think he told Otto, "you write it" I'll edit \:\)

Eastland - I recall that Bob told us that the book was about finished and I quote him from his initial post to say: "Am putting the finishing touches on a book about pond and lake construction." Bruce and I are not harassing Bob we just want to see some more of his insightfull comments here. WE MISS HIM! \:D . Bruce is interested in the contest prize, I'm interested in seeing the "dirty" book!.

Back when I got to spend some time w/ Lusk in late July '05, I inquired about the status of the book.

I hope I'm not taking any liberty here, but Lusk said he needed about 4-5 days without any distractions to finish it up.

Busy man.

"She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."

Okay boys.....my intentions are always good, just sometimes my timing isn't. Sunil is right...I need four uninterrupted days...that's my fault. I am tugged in many directions, and when I make the final edit, then select photos, I want this book to be the absolute best it can be. It's written, must be edited once more, then photos selected, then go to layout to be designed. At that point, I will go back through this thread, and take all this stuff to heart. I hope everyone understands...I set aside time to finish this project, then someone calls with an opportunity I can't pass up..rearrange the schedule a bit, and I go. It's a great life, and I will ride it until it drops. So, this book project will be an "in the meantime" project...I will get it done, promise.
Thanks for bringing it up again. Crow tastes good with a little salt and roux.

Bob - I definately understand being too busy. That is why you haven't received any of my PB articles yet. Many of us can relate to your situation.

How About.. "If we build it, they wont float" After thinking about it, this would probably look better on the door of a pond construction contractors truck
