But you do think the fish were utilizing BOTH, right? Were you able to observe perch feeding on pellets at any time? Do you think that they are the least agressive of the fish in your pond, and thereby get beat to the groceries?
In your estimation, what would be the best time of day to feed if you were to try to favor the perch?
I'm really curious about these things because next year will be the first time that I have significant numbers of yellow perch in a recreational pond.
