Brett, you might have trouble keeping that beach sand in place if there is much slope. The slope will be 16:1 for the first 24" of depth and 12-18" above the waterline. That's commonly referred to as "nature's slope" because it is the slope that nature seeks naturally on a non-eroding shoreline.
