Permits? I went through the local Soil & Water Conservation Dept. They came out & shot the pond lines & had their engineer check things out.
No permits needed unless the dam was over 25 ft & backed up more than 10 ac of water in which case I would have had to hire an engineer to design the dam.
I don't think I did anything ilegal. The US Soil & Water Conservation dept in my area have been ok'ing dams for ever! If that gov. body has been doing so illegally .... well I find it hard to believe they could get away with it for so long.
But, I'm not going to check! ;\)
