I read an article in the paper about triploid rainbow trout in California and the expectations of huge sizes eventually. Seems to me this would be the ideal solution for the bass stunting problem in the typical farm pond scenario since presumably they don't reproduce. It has also occured to me that stocking a single sex of bass, probably females would be a solution, although sexing bass would be a problem. Has anyone heard of efforts to produce triploid bass?
