Does anyone know where to buy Gypsum, to treat your pond for clarity? Do feed stores carry it Coop�s, Farm supplies, or is it something you have to order through a pond supply company??

Under "GENERAL QUESTIONS: Product Sources" a couple of folks stated that Home Depot carries gypsum. If you have a Home Depot near you perhaps you could give them a call.
Also, I remember reading a post here which advised against using pelletized gypsum. "GENERAL QUESTIONS: Muddy Water" by Brian Macker.

Here in Oklahoma you can buy gypsum decorator rock which is roughly 2" in diameter. Comes in bulk like gravel. You can spread it on a windy shore where waves break on it. That is what I did to settle the suspended clay in my pond and it worked great. The powdered or finely divided stuff does not go very far or last very long.

We are located in South Central Kansas. Is there a particular time of year or water temperature you should treat your pond, can you over treat it, or treat it more then a couple times a year without fear of repercussions?
