I always call my 13 acre BOW a pond. I hope the definition police don't get me, but it is a lot of fun to direct visitors to come through the woods to the house on the pond. They are usually surprised when they see it. For the proud pond papa, that kind of surprise is much better than the one where you tell them its a lake and then they expect Lake Superior. although one guest exclaimed, "Why, that must be the better part of an acre!" In any case, this is the first one which has been mine to coddle, and I would have been happy to get anything which would hold something larger than a goldfish. I call any BOW with edible fish a "lottafun" and a "grandchildren magnet."
