my pond is about 1/2 acres and is about 7 feet deep in most areas and about 3 1/2 to 4 feet deep at the most shallow areas.it is still filling up with water slowly due to the fact we have not had much rain recently in eastern north carolina. i checked my ph level,ammonia,and nitrate level about 1 month ago and all levels were very good according to the test kit i purchased from the local pet store. i currently have a vertex aerator that has a messed up fan on it probably caused by ups shipping and is not aerating as well as it should.luckily i called the company i purchased it from and they are going to ship me a new fan in the next couple of days so within a week the aerator should be working properly.i stocked about 350 native bluegill and 150 redears 50 channel cats and 7 pounds of flatheads about a month ago. when i went out this morning to look at the pond i noticed some green like moss around some of the edges of the pond and some also closer to the middle of the pond.is this something i should be worried about or do you think once my aerator is working properly i will be ok.can someone please give me some suggestions as to how to handle this situation.Thanks for any help.
