In one aspect you guys in the south are so lucky, but you don't get to ice fish or snowmobile. Trade no ice fishing or snowmobling for an early spawn and longer growing season. Pivoting Dock Design Could look at a pivoting design similar to the link to allow for the various height you could experience. The pond king dock I have my eyes on will essentially be a pivoting dock from the point of attachment on the land side, and be able to float up and down accordingly, to include the walkway. We typically see a couple feet of water movement, but usually not 10-12 feet, but we did see that this fall. It took about a week for the drain pipe to release all the extra water but it does go down pretty quick. The lake probably swelled to over 40-45 acres when it was at its highest this fall. Crazy amount of water we got (and are still getting).
