This is only the 2nd crappie I've caught. The first in a trap earlier this summer, about 6" long. It was removed. I'm wondering now how many I have. I hope not too many. I'm sure these most likely are fish that swam in with the Harvey flood, so there's no way of really knowing at this point. Regardless, they seem to be doing well and will definitely get invited to a meal whenever they show up.

Sure wish I could get a RES to bite so I can see how they're coming along. I put in a dozen or so 3-4" fish earlier this year, but have trapped a few smaller ones that apparently swam in with the crappie.

Heck, for all I know, there's a big ol' flathead lurking around down there too. Sure hope not!!
