Sounds like your pond is not clear enough. My pond was not clear enough until about a month ago. Algae bloom at about 2 foot clearity has disappeared and I can see tht bottom in 9 feet of water on a sunny day.

I'm sure if your pond was clear enough you would see bass traveling in schools at least the smaller ones. However if you density is very low may the few bass you have hang around structure and don't venture far.

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.
